I recently updated to win10, it's been working well these last 2 days but when I went to turn it on this evening it would open a couple of programs automatically then go to the blue screen saying it will restart due to the above error.

Are there any quick fixes(literally) because the laptop will only stay on for about 20 seconds before it crashes.

Programs that started automatically: bit torrent, Spotify, steam, onedrive. Still trying to figure out the quickest way to stop these automatically opening as I suspect they're the problem

Any help???

What is the blue screen code? BSOD is not likely to be related to programs but to hardware or driver faults.

The code was Thread_Stuck_in_[Device?]_Driver.

however I managed to get into task manager just before it crapped out so I could disable all the bigger apps that opened on startup which seemed to fix it.

Thanks

So it seems it is a driver issue. Check drivers from manufacturer in special video drivers.

I have an HP ProBook 470 G1 and I tended to get this error every time I re-started the laptop using Windows 8.1.
The 'Device' was never listed.
I did a lot of searching but never found a solution.

I have now moved to Windows 10 and still get the error (every now and again) when re-starting.

I have never had the error once windows was operational.
