You could try upgrading to the Windows Live mail client.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ba346005-45f6-4d14-a7dc-51e13d11a950&DisplayLang=en

Depends if you see it as an upgrade or downgrade

These are the instructions but if you see at the bottom it says You must have paid for a Windows Live Mail subscription my flatmate has never said about having to pay for anything and he uses Livemail on his pc with no problem.
I will have a look at the settings on his pc as the windows live site is a wast of time so far.

Access your e-mail account from Microsoft Outlook Express

To access your Windows Live Mail account in Microsoft Outlook Express 6:
  1. Open Outlook Express, and then, on the Tools menu, click Accounts.
  2. Click Add, and then click Mail.
  3. Type your name, and then click Next.
  4. Type your full Windows Live Mail e-mail address, and then click Next.
  5. In the My incoming mail server is a box, click HTTP.
  6. In the My HTTP service provider is box, click Hotmail, and then click Next.
  7. Type the account name and the password for your Windows Live Mail account. To help us protect your privacy, clear the Remember password check box unless you're the only person with access to the computer.
  8. Click Next, and then click Finish. If you're prompted to download your Windows Live Mail folders, click Yes.
Notes
  • You just have to follow these steps one time to be able to use Outlook Express to access your Windows Live Mail account.
  • Internet Explorer includes Outlook Express. To download the latest version of Outlook Express, go to the Windows Internet Explorer website, and then download the latest version of Internet Explorer.
  • You must have paid for a Windows Live Mail subscription to use your account with Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Outlook Express.

        Hello, mckenndk

I would like to tell you in detail about how I configured the Outlook Express. First in our clinic we have a website called “derma-clinic.com” and I have a user name and password from this  private website “derma-clinic.com”

Right now, I have configured the Outlook Express with POP3 and my incoming and out going email are “mail.derma-clinic.com” and its ok. I mean every thing is working. And Even I can receive e-mails from Hotmail. And besides, when I send to yahoo, Gmail, or other websites, my contact receive my e-mails. So, now the problem is with hotmail only.

I hope, you got my Idea

Thanks

Ok so you can send emails ok just not to hotmail addreses.

My best suggestion would be to talk to the organisation that hosts your SMTP service and see what they have to say as you can send emails to other domain names ok.

It does not appear to be your end.

Hello guys...

First the error. It mean the Hotmail servers are blocking your domain because it believe it is spam. You might want to enhance the information for your domain for example by adding more information to the MX records so that Hotmail understands this is not a spam domain.

Good luck removing it from their black list. You will have to ask your provider to help you on this.

As for Windows Live Mail, which is not directly related to the problem but commented before. You don't have to pay anything to use Windows Live Mail and you don't have to pay anything if you want to access your Hotmail account using Windows Live Mail.

This was true with Outlook Express and Windows Mail. You do need your account upgraded from Hotmail to Windows Live Mail though.
