Hi, I dont know where else to put this...

At work (it being an internet cafe) I am unable to access the microsoft website, live mail website, WLM wont connect and I get an error code for that aswell - Error Code: 81000306

And yet I go home and I can access any and all Microsoft websites and services such as MSN.

Anyone care to help? Its like work is blocked from accessing any Microsoft Service...

Also i just done a tracert

What type of connection do you have?
Is it peer to peer?
Do you have a server, what kind?
Do you have a router, what kind?
Do you have some internet cafe management software that the connections pass through?

What type of connection do you have?
Orcon FS/FS 60GB ADSL

Is it peer to peer?
Attempting to access any Microsoft service, WL Messenger and Mail mainly

Do you have a server, what kind?
I have a linux server we play around with - thats a client on the network - network is not reliant on this at all given thats its turned off most time

Do you have a router, what kind?
DLINK DSL-2740B

Do you have some internet cafe management software that the connections pass through?
Software only restircts direct access to the computers desktop, no network traffic is passed through it or is managed by it.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem since last week, unable to access any Microsoft based sites.. Also recently started for ANZ website ? Could you try accessing www.anz.co.nz and see if that goes through?
I am also with Orcon , and I am a ADSL user been fine for a long time , this just started appearing ? Also are you in any of the exchanges that they have just upgraded ? . I am in the Mt.Albert exchange, use a Dynalink RTA300 router which is still ADSL.

Have called support, lets see what happens..

Cheers

Jesse

yeah I have no problem accessing anz.co.nz

I have resolved the situation at work by using my own Linksys AG241 & I updated the firmware on the DLINK DSL-2740B router to the latest release & this still doesn't resolve the situation on the DLINK.

Problem goes away on my Linksys adsl router.
