Silly me have lost the Product Key for my OEM Windows XP Home and unfortunately its not currently loaded on a PC currently.  Is there anyway to find out the Product Key or am I going to have to buy another license ?

Are you trying to load on the same PC, or a different one?

magic jelly keyfinder can load old registry hives so as long as u havent formatted your old install you can retrieve original key even if the windows wont load (pop the drive into a working computer, or use a bartpe cd etc..)

I am installing it on the same PC but unfortunately the drive has been formatted, I found plenty of tools to help if the OS was still installed but nothing that can help if you only the media.

nothing can help with the drive being formatted.  Your only option is to find the original COA on the side of the pc if its there, or in the cd case.

Microsoft may be able to help, have you tried contacting them to see if they are able to issue you a replacement CD key upon proof that you have original media?
