any idea why all these services are down?

its 12.40pm 4 september 2008.. they're all not working..

cant seem to find any news of it..

any ideas?

Who is your ISP?

Have you tried doing a tracert?

Looks like their servers may be down? I cannot do a trace from this connection as it times out, entering the IP does not work (65.55.21.250). And I cannot do a trace from domaintools.

This also seems to affect the MS update site too.

im actually at work.. not sure who our isp is.

but i cant even login to hotmail.. or go to the msn website or microsoft.com website.

hmmm...
its being like this since 11am. I wonder if its our isps fault or microsofts?...

Yes, wait it out will be the easiest way - I'm sure plenty of people have complained already ;)

Works fine from non-ANC connections, can also use MSN Messenger through www.ebuddy.com fine too

Orcon are currently experiencing network degradation specifically accessing Microsoft services.

Affected services include any Internet connection on the Orcon network

There is no ETA at the moment however Technicians are working this issue and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Does xNet somehow go through Orcon or is it more than an Orcon issue? Its been out for me all morning. xNet's website say no issues :S

It's an AsiaNetcom issue - Orcon (and several other providers, including Xnet)'s main upstream provider.
