Hi Every One,
After spending couple of days on this issue I figured out i cannot fix it w/o any expert help. Below is the complete description of problem:

OS:    Windows Vista Home SP1 (Updated till October 10, 2008)
Machine: Compaq Presario CQ 50
Additional SW: Bit Defender Internet Security 2008, MS Office Home & Student 2007

Problem: When ever I tried to Dialup Internet it gives this error "Registering your computer on the network" "Error 720"

Workdone:  1. Wireless, LAN connections are OK, I tested it both get on to the Internet w/o any problem.
                  2. Reinstalled Modem Drivers
                  3. Refreshed TCP/IP stack
                  4. Restarted DHCP services
                  5. Microsoft Knowledgebase says TCP/IP protocol not binding on the Dialup connection.
                  6. Updated modem drivers
                  7. Phone cables, jacks changed.
                  8. Blah Blah Blah

I can understand Vista is not good for dialup, but dont have any other choice.

I am lost, Did confirm from my ISP they see Auth OK at their Radius servers log for my account. Every thing is fine at there end.

Any help from Guru's????????

It looks like something corrupted TCP/IP. Here are some instructions.

Thanks freitsam...

But this post is for win2k, I am running win vista,
I also tried "netsh int ip reset" in eveluation mode but still problem exists, You are right TCP/IP stack is corrupted but can't figured out how to reset it for dialup. Did experimented on LAN & WLAN it was successful. Finally uninstalled Bit Defender, stopped Win FW, still no luck...

Forgive me if you've already tried this but have you completely re-installed the TCP/IP stack by removing and then re-adding it in the Windows components section of "Programs and Features" I think it's called in Vista, (I forget as I don't use Vista much, I prefer Linux) either way in the control panel, whatever they've changed the very obvious "Add/Remove Programs" to is where you need to be, then add/remove Windows components and remove the TCP/IP stack all together, it'll be in networking components and may not use the word "stack". You may need your Windows Vista disc to re-install the stack so don't try this without it please.

Hi Hollow & Spyware,

I had already tried this stuff, WIN is always been frustrating for me being Linux/BSD guy, It is giving me tough time again with silly stuff...
Reinstalling the windows is never been the option, I hate it...
