hello every one ,

my comp had thre partitions in it , i had win XP sp2 installed in C drive ...
i wanted to reinstall win xp so i ran the setup of win XP and while selecting the option , instead of selecting UPGRADE i selected NEW .... so now wehn i switch on my comp it goes to OS choices menu and displays 2 win XP that i can select , i checked later and saw that it had installed the new copy of windows in F : drive ( may be cos it was the only drive with enuf space)

i tried to run setup again and repair it but didnt work out , i tried to format C: ( the older windows )
but it first said that some prgram is using windows and now it says system partion cannot be formatted , i tried to format it from command promt also , but no luck ,
i dont understand why i cannot format c dirve while iam logged into XP which is installed on f : drive



Any idea what is happeninig here , ? iam confused , help will be appreciated ...
