I have had about 5 years experience on a Mac. Especially Mac OS X 10.2 And up.
As Most people would agree that Apple computers are more easier to use than Microsoft. And people
also agree that mac is alot faster than stock computers such as HP, Compaq, LG, Gigabyte, E-Machines and so on.

But... Are They as compatible as Microsoft?

That is what I wish to find out. (I know the answer, but I wish to discuss it)

I love my Mac's, and since Windows 7 I'm starting to re-love my PCs.  But I'll always be a Mac guy.  My latest excitement comes from the fact that I have a MacBook Pro 17" on order and it should arrive in a week or two :-) Can't wait!!!

One of the probs I have with macs is iMovie.

Great program... One thing, IT'S SO DAMN SLOW (Adding Transitions, Video effects, Titles ECT.

Windows Movie Maker... I LOVE YOUKiss. So fast yet so brilliant!

Is this the aluminum unibody or the white MacBook? As Apple has silently updated the White MacBook spec with the Nvidia 9400m

interesting you should say about the JVC.  I can't recall the model of my fathers one, but its a JVC and i had problems importing video from it to iMovie as well.  Ended up I had to manually copy the data from the camera to my iMac and then import things manually a few blocks at a time.  even then i lost patience and gave up.  iMovie DID recognise the mod files but it just was so slow.  Hoping my new 17" MacBook Pro is a bit better at it - my iMac is only 2.16GHz and the MacBook is 2.66GHz
