I have a pair of Half Wire 2.0 (12-952) (57-19) Sunglasses and I have badly scratched the Black Iridium Polarized Lenses. I am looking to source replacements but I can't find a lens only SKU so I can order some.

It would seem my google Fu has failed me. Anyone know where I can buy these online cost effectively? Oakley NZ have quoted me out of Australia for $170, and for very little more I can purchase the entire glasses with new lenses.

Not an answer to the question, but if you buy a pair of glasses with glass lenses, you won't have a problem with scratched lenses. The cost often isn't any more than plastic, sometimes less.

I am not careful with sunglasses. I drop them, I clean them with my shirt, and I leave them kicking around all sorts of places.

I had a pair that was @15 years old and bined them when the frame finally broke. I have another pair that is 5-10 years and they have some minor scratches from being dropped on the road and me head butting things. My new pair is >1 year old and doesn't have a scratch on it.

Yah I have no regard for even expensive sunglasses, though I really struggle to find a pair that both looks good and stops enough light, so I am limited. Took me a couple of years of looking to find these replacements to the Oakley 5's I had before.

I actually own 2 pairs of these, because I got such a good deal. If I knew the replacements were $170 I would have bought more pairs!

If you can find them, I rate Vuarnet very highly, but I couldn't find them last time I looked (I have to try sunglasses, so I won't buy online). I Had to switch to Rayban for the latest pair, but I expect them to last for 10 years no problem.

Go try some glass ones, you can't beat the durability or the clarity.

I've had my Frames replaced twice over the years by some Oakley outfit in Hamilton. Not a bad cost either.
Cant recall the details but could dig them out if you'd like.

Just used these guys a couple months back to replace the lenses on my Pradas: www.thesunglassfix.com.au

Great pricing, support was fantastic, they even helped me identify my model sunglasses from photos, when I couldn't work it out. Highly recommend.

Clearly at that price they are not prescription lenses!

I think my last pair of prescription Maui Jim's were $1400. I would not have thought $170 was much to pay for Oakley quality.

I have some Oakley titanium wraps - I just got custom lenses made and threw the original lenses away (about 10 years ago). Because I wear glasses, these days I just buy a frame off of the net and go and get some lenses made from the local optician with the coatings on I require.

I have scratch resistant plastic lenses and have found the to wear quite well.

I got mine replaced at the Oakley Store on Queens Street in Auckland.

Very helpful and had a good range of lenses.

years ago i used to sell costa del mar sunglasses at the fishing shop i worked in. at the time they were polycarbonate 'scratch proof', lifetime warranty, and supposedly indestructible! Looks like their warranty has been pared back a little but i think i'm going to try and pick some up next time as the $250 oakleys i have scratch so easily.
