Has anyone come across the YOBSN scheme and Smart Media Technologies?

My partner was approached by someone and it has smell written all over it but am struggling to find warnings in an official channel.

It does not appear to do anything useful therefore steer clear. Here's how it works:

Btw, it is funny that googling YOBSN scam reveals a bunch of pages clearly designed with the intention of explaining 'it is not a scam' so 'sign up now' and earn lots of money ; ).

Yeah I did see that one.

Got some good info but would really love something from an official channel. It just can't be legit - and tbh, I would rather not have to delve into the whole workings. I'm too lazy...

I suspect it is just as 'legit' as many other MLM schemes. The vast majority do not work unless they have a constant supply of new recruits recruiting new recruits.

This particular one will defend itself from accusations of running a pure pyramid scheme by falling back on the fact they are providing a 'real' service (business web presence). It's just a new variation.

I thought as much.

Since they brag it's been around for so long I hoped there would be a bit more negative publicity on it. Perhaps it's really that bad that nobody has even bothered doing that?

I read this with interest and it seems loads of opinion and no facts.

Your  opinion is that Smart Media and YOBSN is a scam.

Odd then that two of Smart Media's games are in the Apple iStore (with several more set to follow soon as well as launch into google store)

1. Bubble Champion
2.  Run Bunny Run

Odd that I got some friends to play and when they made in game purchases through the app store I got paid. Must be a scam.

Odd that, as the company promises that it is the only games platform where people can win prizes like laptops, iPads, cash etc. Odd that I have pictures of people receiving said prizes. Never knew scams do that.

Last time I checked scams last a few months or a year at most. They also run with the money. Odd then that Smart Media have been around 6 years and, as far as I know ( 3 years in the business and working with a good few people)  I have yet to hear of anyone who has not received commission when due.

Last time I checked you know you have been scammed when you pay money, get scared, asked for it back and they don't pay. Well, Smart Media must be a scam then because I personally know about 5 people who asked for refunds and were paid their refunds immediately, no questions asked.

Maybe do some more due diligence before deciding to write about the topic. Just saying. How much do you REALLY know about this subject?

I'd like to add as a fact that FactsMan left behind some important information regarding his affiliation with the companies mentioned here.

I've banned the account because if someone is going to post anything here and claim "facts" then better be straight all the way.

Nice one - they still come up with the same old pitches and no proof. Here's another fact. Nobody has ever seen their "founder". Heaps of dodgy podcasts with a rent-a-ceo doing all the talking.
