This is hilarious.  I won't give details, because long may it continue.  One of the main competitors to my business has obviously copied and pasted our location details from our website and put them on his own site.  He obviously didn't realise there were links embedded because now whenever anyone clicks on a branch location it takes them to my website!  LOL.  Thought leads had been up a bit lately.

Epic, it's like winning the lottery, haha.

So did your competitor take the HTML code from your site?

Looks like they did a simple copy and paste and the html was copied and pasted with it.  This would not be unexpected and I would have checked it even though I'm not a website designer.

You should let them know.

Sounds like your website must have been better than theirs was. Perhaps let some of your other competitors know: "Company X has copied part of my website, but there's nothing I can do about it - I hope nobody else follows suit [fake grumble]". Pretty soon you might be the only game in town.

Seems fair since it seems like they are ripping off your website.

With the growth in website impersonation, I would not post any code into my website without checking all the destination links. but hey if they want to play link roulette all power to them :)

Software testing is neglected at your own risk.

One of the risks of not using a developer to so it properly for them. I have seen that sort of thing before too.

As the saying goes, if you think hiring a professional is expensive, try hiring an amateur.
