For the past couple of months I have been having problems with my Ihug (2mb heavy use) broadband and magic the gathering online - namely massive lag spikes for 30 seconds to a couple of mins then a brief rush of data followed fairly soon by another bout of lag.  Wierd thing is the internet works fine with all other software and untill a few months ago also worked fine with magic.  After alot of hairpulling re: my own set up to no avail I read about users having a strongly analagous (and to my understanding as yet unresolved) problem running ventrillo. Consensus seems to be a problem upstream with asianet.com that is causing the problem with vent, and that there is nothing ihug is able / willing to do to fix this, meaning that the best solution would be to switch ISP to something like xtra (shudder) which goes through global gateway. 

I guess my question is - before I go through all the hassle of changing ISP email addresses etc...  has anyone else encountered similar problems with magic online running through asianet?
