Been trawling the internet for a while to see if I could find any definitive list where it lists all the NZ apartment buildings where the body corp has already got fibre install or at least has consent for fibre install.

Anyway, I'm personally focused on Auckland CBD apartments because that's where I live and am actively looking to get fibre.

Apartment buildings where I know either have fibre or have consent for fibre:

  • Precinct Apartments, 6 Lorne St
  • Alpha Apartments, 17 Vogel Lane
  • Forte Apartments, 37 Symonds St
  • The Federal, 207 Federal St
  • H47, 47 Hobson St
  • Stamford Residences, 22-26 Albert St
  • Don't know the name, 14 Upper Queen St

Apartment buildings where I know have denied consent for fibre:

  • Victopia Apartments, 135 Victoria St West

If anyone knows of any more, please do share! It doesn't necessarily need to be in Auckland, we could build a massive list for all of NZ.

Harbour oaks - 16 Gore street. Fibre installed in building but no apartments connected because body corp's fire safety manager won't sign off on the materials Chorus uses.

Tremont Apartments, 4 Wagener Place, Mount Albert (aka St Lukes)

I've had fibre here since March this year, I was the first install and I know there are others in the building with fibre too.

I'm on 200/200 with Bigpipe.

The Dilworth Bldg. 22 Queen Street has fibre approved and installed.
I had it connected to my apartment on 9th. October and am so happy with it.
My ADSL connection here was dire :-)

I know 220 Hobson Street has it, Also 15 City Road has it, i'm the only one on the floor with it.

But finding a public list is going to be hard.

This is a good idea. Praise though who have permitted, and name and shame those who have denied it.

I have heard the apartments at 11 Tennyson St, Te Aro, Wellington are currently permitted by body corp and waiting on the install in the building.

Shortland Flats
93 Shortland Street

www.shortlandflats.co.nz

(1923 Gothic Revival style building near top of Shortland Street)

UFB available since November 2014.  About 10 UFB connections out of 25 flats.  Nearly all of the remainder have ADSL or VDSL but have not bothered to upgrade/transfer over.
