For those of you without any Fibre options this may seem frustrating.
I live in a newish subdivision that was fibre only long before fibre was common (FTTH?), originally we were tied to Wxc at eye watering prices, then a few years back something happened (don't know the technical term - unbundled exchange?) and we were able to use a few more providers, initially I think this was only Snap.
Surprisingly a few months back they started ripping up the roads in our new subdivision to lay more fibre, as I understand it, this was Enable. We now appear to have access to all ISP's.
My question is, if I switch to an Enable ISP will they have to re-run their fibre into my house, or is the connection done at the street? Would I need a different Ont installed?
As I live down a rear section in a shared private lane I am not keen on going through the hassle if it does need to be re-run.
