I currently have a fibre 100 internet connection with VF (Vodafone) my router is not compatible with VLAN is there any way to get it to work with the chorus ONT is there a way to disable VLAN on the ONT or another not two costly device between the ONT and the router.
I do not want to have a second router in between the router and the ONT, is there another way to do this, someone told me a VLAN supported switch would work in between the router and the ONT, would this work? How because wouldn't the switch want VLAN supported device plugged into it as well?

The VLAN option is decided by your ISP, not Chorus.

If you want a non-VLAN connection, pick an ISP that offers that option (ie don't use Vodafone).

If you want to stick with Vodafone, you can add a device between the ONT and the router to insert the VLAN tag, see this post for instructions.

I am guessing you're using an Apple Airport?

If you're sticking with Vodafone you'll need a managed switch to shove between your ONT and the Router to do the VLAN tagging. Bare in mind the Airport does not support anything over 400Mbit so if you're on a Gigabit plan then it is router upgrade time for you otherwise grabbing a router without WiFi (like the Edgerouter X (Guide here) or the Mikrotik RB750Gr3 (Guide here)) and shoving your other router into AP mode (disable DHCP / Routing and plug the other router into a general LAN port) will be a good option for you.

Bare in mind however that the routers I've picked above are entry level routers - they will not be able to do Gigabit over PPPoE however will get darn close to it. Personally I'd recommend ditching your current router and using the Vodafone provided one as it'll handle whatever connection type you chuck at it.

If you have an HG659 you can probably configure it to do the VLAN tagging, similar to the post linked by DarkShadow. There are some instructions on the Spark website on how to do it, but it may have some gaps compared to what will appear on the Vodafone firmware. Note, if you do this you'll need to also disable the DHCP server on the HG659, otherwise whatever you plug into it may end up pulling and IP address from the HG659 rather than Vodafone.

Might be helpful to say what make/model router you have.
There are a couple of ISPS that don't use VLAN tagging.
Bigpipe comes to mind. Can't recall the others just now.
