Is the Chorus Brownout period mean no installs during that time, or just no infrastructure changes? Vodafone keep telling clients no installs at all, but my understanding is that installs continue, but major installs aren't being done.

I don't want to mis-inform people but I am confused.

I have seen installs completed during the Brownout, however personally been told not to raise any myself.

I know a lot of councils will not allow any work done on roads/footpaths during the brownout time.

Hi all,

This year’s brown-out period runs from 21/12/17 to  10/01/18.  Fibre installs and orders will carry on as normal, but there will be a reduced number of technician’s in the field over that time.

Aside from installs,we’ll continue repair faults and run at full capacity in that space.  As well as that, any build work that has been booked in for orders will also go ahead as planned, unless it poses a risk to key parts of our existing network.

Hope this clears things up a bit, but let us know if you have questions.

Cheers,

Mike
