Hi

I just got a letter from Chorus saying work around my area will start on 6th August 2018 and finish around 30th September.

How long does it usually take after you get your first letter to when you can order fibre from an ISP?

P.S Chorus website still says that Fibre will available at my area in June 2019 so this was nice surprise and looks like they are ahead of schedule.

It could still be June 2019 before you can order.

After Chorus finish digging up your street, they still need to do a few months of work before they can offer you fibre. Look for another postcard in your letterbox once they finish.

Yeah will take a few months after before it's available. Although personal IIRC I didn't get any card until at least a few weeks or more after it was available. I.E. It showed up on the Chorus fibre checker site well before I got any card. But this was well over 2 years ago

They were digging outside my house on 3 March and I had my fibre ONT installed on 13 April this was with Enable in Christchurch however so I do not know if this is comparable to Chorus in other areas of the country.
