Hi guys,

I have been with Woosh for several years now, but now I am moving from a full sized laptop to a netbook (eeepc). Now these new netbooks don't have a PCMCIA slot, so I was wondering if you know of any way I can still use woosh via usb? Are there perhaps 3rd party usb 3g modems that work on the woosh network?

I guess its always an option to switch to Voda or Telecom and use their USB broadband solutions.

Any suggestions?

Woosh will give you a desk usb modem. or you could get their netgear wifi router.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm looking for a portable modem (rather than a desktop / home solution).

I would hate to have to switch to Voda or Telecomn just so I can use a usb stick modem.. :(

In that case woosh is not for you.

I must admit i am unsure of who woosh is aimed at as it can't really be called "Broadband"

When they say "desk modem" it can still be portable and does have an internal battery. The only problem is that they used to be VERY unreliable and require mains power quite often.

Not sure as to how reliable the battery stocks are now as it's been a year since I've had any dealing with their equipment.

That looks like the only alternative at the moment. I'll take a look at the USB to PCMCIA adapter you mentioned :)
