Just moved in and we have Fibre for the first time. The last resident took off with the power cable for the ONT box (seems to be a common problem) so Fibre journey already started rocky.
Anyway we finally got a power supply for the ONT box but had to move the ONT box around a bit at first to get the lights to turn on (Already not a great sign). However lights on the ONT box finally on and away we were setting up our new modem.
Once setup was done away we were with great signal strength and fast connection. For an hour or two anyway. After some light internet browsing the LOS light went to red. Mucked around trying a few things, rebooting our modem checking our settings, switching modem and ONT off and on. Nothing worked. ONT lights were working but moved the ONT box around a little and we had connect again. Thought we were golden as it lasted most of the night but woke up to no internet connection this morning.
Once we get a connection, neither the modem or ONT get touched, or moved so it seems a bit weird that it cuts out after a while.
Is this a faulty ONT, cable or fibre line? Or is it something else. We have a Chorus ONT 300 series so the one that looks like a modem.
Not the greatest when you work from home and need the internet to pay the bills...
