Greeting everyone

I have just got my central splitter installed by telecom technician today, and i got my modem connected to the new jackport which is for ADSL.

however after he left my house, i figured that actually my internet speed has dropped significantly to 1.x K the most, which i was able to hit 3K before the installation. i have tried reboot modem, restart from modem control menu. none of this can solve the speed problem.

Further more, i have found that if i take off the filters for the home phones, i could end up disconnecting from internet when i make phone calls. and i can hear the modem dialing tone in the home phone, is that normal??? Also i tried connect the phone to the ADSL port, and it works for Home phone as well.

Please advise me if any of you know what the problem is.

Thank you very much for reading this post!

It looks like the technician did not install the Splitter correctly as you should be able to use your phones now without filters, and if anything the connect rate should have gone up.

Ring up Telecom and get them to send the technician back out
