Well... I just found out the my house is capable of fibre (my next door is just cut off ^^) but... seriously the ad's never say anything about prices or any useful info all it really say is that they are bring fibre to most people in Auckland. So how much would it be for a house in Auckland in a non-rural area for fibre optical net and about 20gb cap...also how fast would i be able to download a file from like America or how many times fast then broadbband

Depends who's fibre is it (Telecom, Telstra, Vector etc)?

If your house was capable of fibre you would be using fibre now. There are no areas I'm aware of that have unlit fibre running to them.

If you are in one of the areas with Fibre you will see the subdivisions on the Brightspark website http://www.brightspark.org.nz/home

Downloading files from America isn't really a good test of speed anyway, as you're still going to be limited to the connection speeds outside NZ

on the Vectorfibre website my house is covered by green which means that fibre passes my house? so how am i suppose to get fibre

Do you have an ISP right now? Your best bet is to contact them and ask them if they are using Fibre to your house. It's not really your choice to go with a fibre plan so to speak, the ISP will either use it or not use it.

i go with Telecom...why is it not good to go with fibre?

I think you're a little confused by the different types of fibre offerings out there.

You obviously aren't part of the greenfields fibre subdivisions. If you were you'd currently be using that fibre and would be a WxC customer.

Having Vector fibre isn't the big deal you think it is. If you want to connect you can, but expect around $2000 for installation and maybe $500 per month for a connection.
