Hi guys. After doing all my homework on what connection to get, Telstra Clear just rang to tell me I cant get Cable internet in our street. What is the best (and most affordable) option to have good broadband in Newlands Wellington, and we DONT have a phone line (dont need 1). And we CANT have cable. So its only DSL or Naked broadband? And we would like about 40gb.

Thanks :)

I have just moved from Wellington.  We used a company in the Hutt who use the CityLink network.  This won't be available in Newlands but we are going to go with Vodafone Naked DSL.  We have mobiles on vodafone & MySky HDI already so I see their offer as a $15 discount.  30Gb is $65 ($40) and if you go over 30Gb and additional 30Gb is $30 (so $95 for 60Gb or $80 if you count the Sky deal).  That was the best package I thought.  Close second was Slingshot (but their forum here put me off) and I am interested in VDSL so Worldnet were in contention but are both more expensive and possibly not available where I am moving to....

Hope that helps
