Can anyone please advise me of a New Zealand ISP that does not have a limit on email size. I am not a particularly heavy user in general, but ocasionally I need to send a video clip eg. .MP4 by email. I find that even quite a small clip exceeds the current email limit that I have i.e 10,000 KB. I have tried compressing but I find the quality loss to great. I don't want to go to the trouble of zipping etc. either. This is only about one clip per month that I want to send, of about 60,000 KB to 100,000 KB, is this too much to ask? If I download a clip this size it only takes about 10-15 seconds. Thank-you for your help...
Our limits are about 14MB or so which is enough to push through a 10MB attachment. You'll find after the email gets encoded it tends to magically 'grow' a bit.
As said above, if you're sending 10MB+ files via email you're doing it wrong, email was never intended for large attachments although some providers will allow you to send large attachments (slingshot and google come to mind), having said that the receiving ISP may not deliver large attachments so that is another story altogether.
