Someone please help me! I am locked out of my floppy drive, my DVD drive, and my USB ports on the front of my computer! I have tried to restore my computer, I have scanned the drives, I have asked everybody I know for help but nobody knows what is going on! Any help will be gratefully accepted.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you're locked out of them? Do you mean you can't see the drives under My Computer? Or are they physically in some kind of locked safe?

Is your PC logged to a domain? Have you installed any security software lately? Any changes to the registry?

More information about anything you have changed in the configuration in the last few days would be good too...

I am actually locked out. There is a red circle with a slash thru it on the drive icons.

Do you have anything in the drives?

You can't go into a drive if it doesnt have anything in it, yet often it will come up in my computer that the drive is there, eg Memory card ports on the front of your computer, floppy drives and dvd drives.
