Something idiot proof preferable.  I've tried using SyncBackPro, as well as the sync software that came with the WD External Drive, but no real success.  Clearly I'm not very good at this, hence the need for something idiot proof.  Any suggestions welcome.

SyncToy 2.1 from Microsoft?

There's SkyDrive or LiveMesh or DropBox etc, that sync to web and PCs... not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but certainly quite handy alternative.

GoodSync proves to be simple enough for me to use! Thanks for the great advice. That's exactly what I needed. I've tried Mesh, and while pretty good it only allows for up to 5GB of space. Not enough. No idea why they don't link it to the 25GB they give in SkyDrive.
