Hello,

Having issues with my PC will work, boot perfectly run for a few hours on first pass, then all of a sudden the signal to the monitor stops, "no signal input", have two screens - so if it was the monitor one would still be running.

So thought was the Graphics Card, borrowed one from work and fired it up this morning, all worked fine for 1-2 hours then crashed again - so is not the graphics card.

I also enabled RDP before it crashed tested it and could login. After it crashed It ried to conld login, there was no response from the desktop - so looks like the entire system is dropping out for one reason or another, all fans still run after the screen goes black.

It seems to be heat related, after a while the PC will boot again, which is good.

Did some reading one suggested the PSU, bos said could be Ram, CPU, Chip Set, Mb - not sure what the Mb is Master boot? - still boots afterwards though.

Any ideas on what I can do to solve this issue, is there a way I can check the current temp of the CPU, to see if that is the cause.

Is not the graphics card.
Is not the monitors.
All fans are working before and after it happens.
Cannot connect after it happens.

It is most likely some sort of read nosed clown, haunting my PC.

(ASUS m2n32SLI Deluxe AMD 4200+ dual core, 3.5GB Kingston Ram 8800GTS/Windows 7 professional)

MB is motherboard.

It is most likely to be the PSU, but have a look over all your components and see if there are any swolen or leaking caps.

I had something similar however more it would have artifacts on the screen. I changed the psu which
helped a little but in the end it turned out to be the heat sink full of carpet dust so it would heat up very fast.
nvidia.fx 6800.. so perhaps unscrewed the fan and blow out the viems on the heat sink.

also adding another fan when using 3d to suck air outside the case helped. some graphic card designs are better then others.

Will see if theres any dust in the CPU heatsink, have already cleaned the G Card, cheers,

So Heatsink was full of dust, have put that back on the motherboard, and installed core temp says for a windows core is safe to get up to around 50C which it is averging 48%.

Am running some scans which hog the processor so that should give it a good test.

So have used the PC a bit, since replacing the CPU, seems to be working well so was most likley the CPU overheating,

Thanks for your help, almost bought a new PSU which would have been a waste of money.
