Hey everyone,
Just have a build in mind and was wanting comments on it.

Case: Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced (Black)
PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro M 700W
RAM: 2 x G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 PC10666/1333MHz CL9 4GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz Socket 1155 Box
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD6870
DVD: Asus DRW-24B3ST

Is there anything that I have missed out?
Also looking at fitting a second 6870 somewhere down the track and maybe overclocking the CPU (Hence the P67 mobo and K series CPU) so is the PSU all sweet? When over clocking the CPU I would be adding a aftermarket fan for the CPU and the extra fans if I need it. (There is space for an extra 7 fans if its needed)

So have I screwed up anywhere?

If it got constantly too warm. I would just fix an aftermarket CPU cooler. Probably a Cooler Master Hyper 212.
Also can someone just confirm my choice in PSU? And that wattage level.

Yeah, 700W is plenty. You don't NEED that much power, even now. More important is how much current you can pull off each voltage rail.
Even at 90% efficiency, with power the way it is, are you going to pull 630W/hrs just using your computer? (Not including monitors!)

Just thinking if you plan to o/c you may as well get the cooler now. Otherwise you have to get back into the machine, remove stock cooler, clean thermal paste off, put new cooler on.

The wattage of the psu is enough. personally I would stick to Seasonic and Corsair. 650w seasonic will still be more than enough for 2 hd6950's in crossfire.

The Cooler master 212 is a really good cooler. Not top tier, but definitely very good. Unless you plan on heavily overclocking it will be more than adequate.

the x series Seasonic are tops. Really good. The 650w should easily handle a dual hd6870 setup and overclocking.

Choices look pretty sound, are you going to DIY the build? Also where are you buying the parts from?

Get Playtech and Computer Lounge to give you are quote for the parts and/or parts + build.

It's more convenient to get all the parts from one place and they are quite competitive when doing a quote for a whole bunch of parts/build.

... and of course way better service, support etc than the "cheapest on pricespy" approach should anything go wrong or need to be rma'd.

Going to DIY it myself. Know a Comp Uni student thats done a few of these builds incase it gets that little bit hairy...
Cheers for the advice on getting the quotes down.

So far following the pricespy method. Build should cost me a touch over $1,800.
But considering a initial build then expanding from there into what I want as the complete system.
Initial Build would consist of:
CPU, motherboard, 4gb RAM, PSU, Case, HDD and the DVD drive. (Everything apart from the GPU and the extra RAM)
Is there anything wrong with doing it like that? i5 2500K comes with integrated graphics... So would be fine with Web browsing and video watching I assume. Anyone know anything about the graphics capability of the i5?
