Howdy.
New here nad in need of help.
I had to re install xp on my sons computer after the earthquake.
All done with updates etc, running well but!!!!!!!
No sound at all, I cannot find a driver in device manager under sound drivers.
I have tried to find on on the net but all I seem to find are free scanners thaty tell me that I dont have a driver.
T motherboard has onboard sound and the board is an ASUS P5RD2-VM
Any hep in pointing me in the right direction to getting the sound going would be gerat.
Many thanks.

EDIT (now that I've finished dinner)

Welcome to Geekzone. Google is your friend, and one of the first results was the ASUS website. Did you try the drivers from the ASUS site itself?

Excellent work. The volume problem can only be corrected be removing the speakers completely! Here the sound from Master 19's room can often be heard from 3 houses away :-(
