I've got a Corsair CX430 power unit which I'm going to use in my new PC. I bought the unit on Amazon US and of course it's come with a US plug, but I'm thinking I can grab an equivalent NZ plug/lead as the socket on the power unit is the same?

On the power unit, the AC Input states 100-240V, 6A. 47-63Hz.

I've found the NZ mains power quoted as 220-240v AC, 50Hz

I'm assuming I'm OK to use the power supply with an appropriate plug/lead? Or am I missing something here?

You should be right just make sure you flick the switch over to 240v

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yeah, that's what I thought., however there's no switch on the CX430.

However the manual states, 'Universal AC Input from 90-264V. No more hassle of flipping that tiny red switch to select the voltage input.'

So I assume it'll handle NZ's 220-240V??

Some dont have a switch and presumably auto sense.

I had a user once when I asked them to turn the PC back off/on manage to get their fingernail into that 110/230 red slide switch on the back and flick it to 110v. They then said "it just went bang and has a burning smell" - You can never underestimate the intelligence of some people.

If it has that voltage selector switch on it put some tape over it once you have selected 230v.

Power it up prior to connecting to your mainboard or peripherals if you're not sure! ;-)
