Hi Guys,

I recently bought an OCZ Agility 2 60gb SSD for my first SSD and was instantly impressed with the huge performance upgrade, though, I have struck a weird annoying problem with it.

I re-used the sata cable I was using on my old drive (It has the cable "clickers" to keep the cables from coming undone) but the OCZ Agility drive doesn't have these clickers.

I'm not sure if it's the earthquakes Christchurch have been having or some other factor but the drive keeps going unplugged in windows and since this is the boot drive, windows crashes and reboots and fails to detect the drive unless I unplug the data cables and replug.

I called computer lounge whom I bought the drive off and they said it's common but to replace the "clicky" cable with a "non clicky" cable which they sent me for free (Thanks CL). It's not happening as much now but it's still happening..

I even put some pre-load on the cable and cable-tied it to the power cable next to it in an attempt to keep it in to no avail.

Has anyone else noticed this? It's driving me batty!

Hot Glue gun?

I've used them on motherboard USB headers before.

Hot Glue works like magic and it's strong but not permanent.

Hmm, Very good idea.. I'm not sure im too keen to hot glue my fancy new SSD, though :)

It's the connection to the drive, not to the sata port on the motherboard

Are you sure it's getting physically disconnected? OCZ has some big issues with drives disappearing from the system, which will lead to a BSOD if it is the boot drive. The latest firmware seems to improve things a lot. Check their forums.
