I just started rehabilitating my old computer, and I have managed to solve some of the problems I have encountered, except this one.
The first signs of the problem that I got were:
- Monitor didn't respond when being connected to graphics card.
- Computer doesn't recognize graphics card. (Checked in system devices)
- the Graphics card fan doesn't move while the computer is turned on
What I have done so far is unseating and reseating the graphics card. Before I reseated it I examined it and saw that it was full of dust. So I used air to blow the dust off.
It didn't work afterwards.
There must be something wrong. How can I find the problem so that I know what to repair/replace?
(Could it be the connection? Motherboard? Graphics card itself?) I would like to be able to identify the specific problem so that I don't buy another graphics card, and then find out that the problem was the connection. <--Example.
Thanks for your help. :D
