Thanks to all who help this newbie....

I have an imate SP5 and want to replace it. I like the model heaps, especially the small size however it is slowing down with so many contacts and my calender etc.

Is there a faster model, can I make this one faster?

Is there another business phone or PDA that is this small and faster.

Performance is rated over cost and not really interested in MP3 Players and Multimedia functions, prefer business apps.

Looking forward to the replies, One and all.

Thanks Heaps.

How long ago was the last time you power cycled (off/on) your device? Programs don't close when you return to the main Today screen, but the OS will do its best to close programs when more memory is needed.

If doing this doesn't solve the performance problem, you can do a reset (use the Clear Storage option) which will return the device to factory defaults. This will most likley clear any cluter left behind. You can then sync with your Outlook (or Exchange Server) again to download your contacts, appointments and e-mails.

Hi Mauricio,

Thanks heaps for the advice. I have done this (cleared storage) twice and it does make it a little better.

I am going to merge two PST files and delete a profile on outlook in the next few weeks, so will do this again before I sync everything again.

I have another post ob here that you may also be able to assist me with considering your extensive knowledge in these areas.
