As the topic suggests, where do you find a Windows Phone developer in Auckland?

I have looked on MS website, no luck. Google doesnt really bring up anything ...

Any tips?

I'm sure a bit of googling for the teched schedule last year might help you find the others.

EDIT: it might also be worth just googling for .NET developers in Auckland; chances are they may have some experience with windows phone, or won't have much trouble picking it up...

Search engines won't produce any results unless you type "Developers developers developers developers"

Seriously, it depends on the gig.

NZ company extending platform reach - could ask ASB/NZHerald/AA/Yellow who did their apps
Startup idea - find an Auckland/NZ app in the store that looks similar to your concept and contact the developer
Internal corporate app - get a dinosaur dotnet dev to throw together some crap, employees only care about getting the job done and getting home on time, not slickness or beauty

A time-poor geek is hardly a geek at all

For professional development you'll likely want to contact a Microsoft shop. Most .net developers will be able to do it easily enough, particularly if they've had some Wpf/Silverlight or Web experience.

If you're looking to do something cross-platform in the mobile space, there are a few write-once publish-many-devices style tools out there to use.
