Hello I have an IPAQ which I synch with my home Laptop for emails/music etc. However I want to be able to Transferr files to our work Wlan and get my outlook emails. The Ipaq finds the wlan OK but there is no explorer for transferr of files in the normal way and I can't get outlook to check my emails. How is this done? Is it possible to browse the NETWORK from the IPAQ as you would with a PC/laptop? I can ping the IPAQ from the LAN but thats all
Thanks for any ideas, Mark

There are different problems there...

First, to browse your network and access shared folders you need a software such as Resco Explorer.

As for ActiveSync over LAN, it only works if you have ActiveSync 3.x... When running ActiveSync 3.x you can configure your Pocket PC to connect to your PC. ActiveSync will act as a server program and perform the synchronisation wirelessly.

Of course this is not needed if you synchronise to an Exchange Server, in which case it should just work over the LAN without problems.
