Hi all,  I took the plunge and upgraded my Touch with the HTC Touch (Bell) RUU_Vogue_BM_WWE_3.09.666.1_Radio3.42.50_ship.exe and installed OMJ's 3.09.01.Clean ROM, following all the advice on the various forums regarding the 'HRD An Auth' user and password, and everything seemed to go through fine until I tried to use the phone for calling and SMS.

Neither work oubound or inbound now.  Internet works well, as does the GPS but the phone is now a 'brick' for calling and txts.  When I try and make a call it goes straight to a recorded message saying that the phone may be in the process of being set up and may take 4 hours to complete.  This was 48 hours ago and no change.  I have checked the MSID and MDN settings and they all appear correct.  I called Telecom NZ and they have the correct ESN for the phone also so I am unsure what else to try.  Any ideas?  There must be a setting somewhere that I have missed that isn't quite right...  :-(

Cheers,
Pete.

PS. I have tried the upgrade process again and it has made no difference - Interweb is blazingly fast but still no phone calls or TXTs

Hi ... I upgraded using the Sprint ROM from the HTC website and have had no problems, all facilities are working. I wonder however if you are getting any pop-up screens coming up talking about provisioning device, IOTA screens, etc?

I recall in the process of flashing a carrier ROM I let the customisation run (you know, when you complete the flash of the ROM, then align the screen, set or not set a password it boots into today screen for first time and shortly after it says 3 2 1 and runs carrier customisation) ... this can be the cause of many configuration issues ...
I would either suggest reflashing a different ROM or reflashing the same Bell one (I had more success with the SPRINT OEM Rom with regards to my GPS) and soft resetting the device as soon as it says 3 2 1 for carrier customisation....

There is also a cab release for Telecoms carrier settings which you should be able to find pretty easy, that may set your config back on track...

If you didnt let customisation run, can you supply any further information to the link where you got the ROM from etc...

Cheersfor the post Thinker - Turns out all I had to do was get my mobile no. assigned to a new ESN (new phone) for 10 mins then got it reverted back to the OKTA and she was all go!  Soemthing got screwed up between the phone and CDMA switch I guess.  Another guy at work upgraded to WM6.1 on his OKTA and hit the same problem but with my new found knowledge I got him up and running within no time at all  :-)
