G'day. Hope there's plenty of unsolicited advice here re: should I upgrade to 2002 OS: how I make this ripper little gadget makephone calls and send/receive email/check ebay progress/stop smoking( oops-asking abit much there!). Etc. to anything that will make this toy more than an umbilical cord to my desktop PC without selling with a loss and buying another already obselete toy. Cheers to all and feel free to advise. shouldn't this be going into PocketPC forum?

back to the topic, maggiemode, you will need a CF Wifi, or CF bluetooth with right driver for PPC2002. and either wifi network or bluetooth on your pc, then you can use wifi (or Activesync over BT) or BT-lan if using widcomm's bt stack, to access internet.

otherwise, best ditch 3630 and get hx2xxx with CF+SDIO+Wifi+BT with WM2003se or WM5 (if hx2x90 series.)

I too have iPaq 3850 which is old... not sure if CF/PCMCIA BT or WIFI will work with its WM2003 though... otherwise i'd use it as my wee gadget, and buddy it up with a Wifi remote control, you can control anything. hehe

I will be looking at getting Jasjar, or Hx4700(and if with WM5, even better)

Internet is my backyard...
