Hi all.

I have been extremely foolish, and upgraded my Samsung i325 from WM6 to WM6.1 using the download from the Samsung website.

Obviously, I have not read everything properly first, because now I can no longer connect to the Telecom NZ CDMA network - it is locked onto Sprint instead.

I have taken the phone into my local Leading Edge store, but they have been unable to get it re-flashed back to the original rom. They tell me that they were unable to locate a copy of it!!
I have also sent an e-mail to Telegistics asking if they are able to assist in any way.

Is there anyone out there who can advise me where I might be able to find a solution - any solution - to my predicament, or do I simply toss it in the bin and put it down to a bad experiment?

You should take if for repair. If that Telecom store couldn't "flash" it take to another store. They will send it to Telegistics that will repair it - stores don't do repair themselves.

The Telecom store said that it "went away" for re-flashing.
I don't know where they sent it to, but it was gone for 2 weeks.
They advise that "it is not financially viable to repair".
I am hoping I might be able to get a ROM from somewhere, and will flash it myself.
There seems to be plenty of info on how to do this - just no ROMs for this machine (or is it WM6?)

Tiritoakiwi, you already installed a third party ROM and got your phone unusable. I wouldn't recommend doing it again because it requires a bit more information on the CDMA side of things.

I have asked some more information from someone at Telecom about this, because it doesn't sound right. It should be just the case of flashing the phone with stock ROM - there's no physical "repair" involved, but who knows what is really going on?

Looks like I'm stuck!
I had hoped it might be just a matter of finding a stock ROM, and re-flashing.
I admit I'm a complete tyro at all this so I guess I'll just have to "suck-it-up" and grieve for a lost phone.
