Hi

We use WM 2003 Phone Edition and we have both Telecom Harriers on the Vodafone I-Mate Jams.

We don't really have any issues with the Harriers (apart from battery life!!), but we have have a lot of connection issues with the I-Mates and I'm not sure why. When trying to connection a message will be displayed saying that the phone was unable to connect. There seems to be no reason why it can't connect, the flight mode is off and there is a good signal strength.

Usually a soft-reset resolves the problem, but when this fails I have to do a hard reset on the device and re program it - which sucks!

Has anyone else had any connection issues with Vodafone/I-Mate Jams similar to the above?

I have noticed this and the best way to resolve the issue is: settings : system : memory : and there is a tab for running programmes. Click on stop all. I would do this a few times a week

Make sure you have the latest rom on the device from imate.com

If you use the Pocket Internet Explorer a lot, make sure you clean the cache folder every now and then. Open PIE and tap Tools | Options to find the [Delete] button.

Make sure you store programs in a SD card, not in the main memory. Remember, like any other computer you need memory available to execute programs too - not only for storage.

Also, make sure your configuration is set to use the correct APN, and the Connections settings for Internet and Work are both pointing to the correct connection configuration (if these are changed then it will not connect with defaults).
