I bought a Dopod 818 Pro and am experiencing the following difficulties :

1) I cannot populate the Dopod calendar with information from my desktop computer. The system says it has synchronised but the information does not get transferred. We currently use Novell Groupwise. I loaded Groupwise PDA Connect and experience a version problem on the Dopod.

2) The phone freezes periodically with no indication on the screen. The signal strength bar does not change but all calls are diverted to voicemail.

Is there anybody out there who can help?

Welcome to Geekzone. I believe you are not using ActiveSync to synchronise the data, but rather using the Groupwise PDA Connect software?

Are you able to use Outlook to connect to Groupwise and perhaps use ActiveSync through Outlook, instead of the third party solution?

If it doesn't work, you can try a soft reset (if not done yet) and as a last recourse perhas a hard reset and installing the client software only, nothing else?

I did use Active sync in the first instance and was not successful. Only after failing with this did I try the third party software. I have now tried to synch via outlook and get the following error : Support code 85010014.

According to the ActiveSync 4.0 Help and Troubleshoot page, the error 85010014 is caused by a faulty Outlook installation, or a couple of other problems. REad the article because there are some suggestions to fix this.
