Hi there - has anyone given The Secret World a go from NZ yet?  I tried AoC when it came out and the lag was awful - made it pretty much unplayable. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has tried the new Funcom MMO and whether the lag / performance from here is any better.
Thanks!

Hi,

I've played it since closed beta, and I can honestly say it is 100% - in fact it seems to be one of the least latency dependent MMO's I've ever played.

For example their persistent world PVP (75vs75vs75) = 225 people in on area - It runs smooth as butter.

The only thing I would say is that if you want a good experience, make sure your PC is up to it.

For example I run:
I5 - 2500k overclocked to 4ghz
nVidia gtx 560 Ti superclocked
8 gigs ram
and Windows 7 64 bit (64 bit is almost a must for this game)

This allows me to run between 50-60 FPS on ultra settings.

Also, just for the record, this game is truly amazing. Finally a game that has broken the traditional MMO mould. No classes, no levels and not grindy at all...

Only 50-60fps on a system with that spec? That's a pretty demanding game!

Is the benefit of 64bit mostly so the game can get at >3GB RAM?

He did say on Ultra Quality..

Some games need SLI 580's to run in Ultra, so compared to that it's not really that demanding.
