Warning: The following post may be rather...uninformed. Noob tolerance required.

Well, after spending too long (trying) to game on a PC that I'm embarrassed to reveal the specs of, I think it's high-time for an upgrade.

I did say the budget was $1,300, but I am willing to extend that by $100 if it's going to help. $1,400 is the most I'm going for. (That may be overkill?)

Here are some specifics to try and help you out as best I can:

- Windows will need to be included (10, I guess?)
- Will not need KB/M, Monitor, Only things are the Tower and everything in it
- This is almost solely for games, aside from some basic stuff like Steam, Skype and a browser
- For specific games, Everything from old (Battlefront II, Halo:CE) not so old (L4D2, Dawn of War II, Champions Online) and new (Payday 2, Depth, Rocket League, DiRT Rally, GTAV)

At that price your always going to be compromising on something, given you can spend more than your entire budget just on a GPU, but you should be able to get something not too terrible.

Found this at playtech, only thing i would do is add another HDD to allow more game installs.

Not terrible but I'd get the 4590 Processor as well.

You can get a GTX 960 4GB for about the same price as the 380 4GB, the benefits being HDMI 2.0 (for 4K TVs), better driver support and far less power usage.

You do pay a small performance penalty though.

That /r/buildapc rig looks great
