do other games work in the same xbox 360? and you are 100% sure that the games are region free? if you look at the top right or bottom right of the front cover, it should state PAL or NTSC

lol. the bad news is that they are pirated discs which will not run on your xbox 360. I hope you did not pay full retail price to whoever you bought it from because if you did, demand a refund.

modern warfare 3 retails for above $100 in NZ. batttlefield 3 also retails for close to $100. if the deal looks too good to be true, stay away from it!

Pirated games, no warranty. If you paid for those, you will just have to move on and learn the lesson.

They could just be NTSC which can be region free but won't work in a PAL Xbox.

PS if you're going to import games, use Play-Asia....they're reliable.

I think this might simply be the old story of "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" (too good to be true).

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Region-free NTSC games will work in an unmodified NZ/PAL Xbox; I have a few of them. As far as I know, the only issue with NTSC is with the TV, and I think that's largely irrelevant with HDTV.
