I have a Thomson TG 605s router that was connected to my network but has now been replaced. I have read some literature for this model router that says it is capable of upload speeds up to 2.3 Mbps. Does anybody know if it is possible for that upload speed to be exceeded or is that the absolute maximum for this model

Upload speed is determined by the adsl profile.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Thanks for that Ross.
What I am trying to find out is if I have a 5Mbps synchronous connection, will this router have been limiting the upload to it's stated maximum of 2.3 mbps

Hi There.

I know this post is a few months old, but just wanted to add in my 5 cents.

Thomson TG605s is a SHDSL router/modem, I have dealt with these units for a long time, to find out what is your actually speed is to find out what plan you are on HSNS Lite, is this a 4 wire connection or 2 wire. best place to start is your provider.

the actually sync rate is seen in the WEB UI of the unit, if i am right, the tech would have set the unit in bridge mode,
