I've been trying out free VPN's for the last couple of days and I came a long Hotspot Shield which I liked as it had no data cap but then I found out that they sell your information to ad companies and the like, so now I'm trying to find another free, legit and trustworthy VPN that has reasonable speeds. Nothing extraordinary is expected.

I'm new here so I hope this is the right section for this topic.

I guess the first question is what you want a VPN for.

There are actually no free VPN's that I would recommend. and the end of the day anything that's free in this world typically comes with limitations, somebody else is paying for the bandwidth you use!

You get what you pay for.... free stuff is generally ad supported, not reliable, and frequently comes with some nice malware.

Pony up a few bucks a month for a decent and reputable service. I only pay about $6NZ a month for my service.

if you aren't paying for something, you aren't the customer, you are the product.

stop being so tight and pay measly $5/month for a good quality VPN

Thanks for calling me tight without even knowing my situation bro.
I'm 14, can't use my parents credit card because they won't let me and I don't have my own debit card.

I have to agree with the guys above, good luck getting a GOOD free VPN.

Unfortunately in your situation there isn't much I can recommend. I am 16 and got my debit card when I was 15, I use that to pay for my VPN.

Unfortunately in your situation there isn't much I can recommend. I am 16 and got my debit card when I was 15, I use that to pay for my VPN.

I have strict Indian parents that don't really trust buying anything on the internet and it's just something I've tried asking them to let me use or get me my own debit card but they just say no as they think I don't need one yet.

On a recommendation I gave Cyberghost (just Google it) a try a while ago. I think the free version gives you 1Gb per month or something like that. Noticeably slower than my normal connection, but still ok. They also have a paid version that gives you more speed and data.

I know nothing about the software or what they use the user data for if anything. A couple of others I know use it and have not had any issues with spam, malware etc. Online reviews back then from memory were promising.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

1GB should be fine per month for the occasional video I watch so thanks a lot scuwp. I'd read about Cyberghost and it did seem good so yeah, thanks again.

You could always go to the post shop and buy a prezzy card.

They don't have age restrictions If I remember correctly

I think a Loaded card might be more appropriate, you can reload it and it is less likely to be rejected by international retailers as it uses your name and address instead of the generic PREZZY CARDHOLDER one.
