I have three PCS - one desktop & two laptops. I had the desktop & toshiba laptop connected through wireless network and could file share and use internet connection wirelessly but couldn't connect acer laptop to home network/workgroup - but it could see wireless network. Reset DSL604gt and now have the 2 laptops connected but cannot connect the desktop - but it can see wireless network. Can someone please help? What other info do I need to provide? I can ping between two laptops but times out to the desktop.

Have you checked the wireless router configuration to make sure there's no limits on the number of IP addresses being handed out?

Are all computers in the same room, or in range?

All using the same security type, and same speeds configured on the router?

Hi - thanks for reply. I am a novice networker.

I don't know how to check the router configuration for limits - could you please advise how I do this? It is a DLINK DSL604GT

Al computers are in range of the router - they definitely all pick up the wireless connection.

All using the same security type, and same speeds configured on the router? - I have no idea - again, how do I check this?

I have a feeling that the issue maybe to do with limits on IP addresses. As I said, previously I had the desktop and #1 laptop connected and fine but couldn't add laptop #2, but after re-setting and starting back from scratch, now I have #1 & #2 laptops connected, but it won't accept the dsktop back.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.
