Hey everyone that may be able to help me. Maybe the subject isnt to clear of what I am having troubles with. I have had my DBT-120 Bluetooth adapter for a couple days and have been trying to make it work with my Palm for way to many hours. I have followed many different forums telling me to do a bunch of different things. I have done them all and been stopped when I am supposed to go into the device manager and edit the bluetooth radio buttons and add my device. Now is where I have trouble, in the device manager it does not have anything to do with bluetooth in it. So I cannot add my device. This is pissing me off so much. Please someone help me out here as soon as possible. Thanks guys

Welcome to Geekzone... First the standard questions: have you installed the software that comes with this device, or just plugged it?

If you have already installed the software, unplug the device, remove the software and reboot. Make sure you are using an account with Administration rights and reinstall the software. Then reboot and again with an Administration account plug the device.

If the software still can't "see" the device, make sure that you are not using a USB Hub, and that the PC's USB ports are actually working ok by testing with other devices.

Yes I have done all of your suggestions and it does not work still.
My problem comes when I have to go into the device manager. There is no Bluetooth radio as stated in many of the faqs. That is the only thing that I have a problem with. Please help me, I'm sick of trying to make this work. When I buy a product, I assume that I can just plug it in and install it, but no that doesn't work.

Most products require you install the software before you plug the product, but yes it would be great if it could be like that...

It sounds as it's a defective hardware - have you tried the same adapter in another computer? If it won't work then you should ask for a replacement.

I have been following the guidelines from this website:

this is where i cant go any further
"Step 9 Once the installation has finished, insert your DBT-120 rev B4 into your USB port and wait for windows to install the generic drivers.

Step 10 Force the D-Link driver to replace the Generic Bluetooth drivers.

Right click on your My Computer icon and select properties.

Select the Hardware tab and open the Device Manager.

Click on the plus sign next to Bluetooth Radios and right-click on the Generic Bluetooth driver."

because I cannot locate the bluetooth radios in the device manager. this is so frustrating
