Hi there,

I am about to travel to South America for 6 weeks and was wondering what Wi-Fi access was like.

We will be mainly in Peru and then Bolivia.

I don't nessessarily wan't to take a notebook but was thinking of maybe getting a PDA Also I am not sure what the mobile coverage is like.

If anybody has any advice  on what to use to clear my emails while on the move it would be greatly apreciated.

Regards

Been there, done that.  Suggest you don't take either.  Things get nicked, and they just weigh you down (physically and otherwise).

Internet cafes are EVERYWHERE, and really really cheap (and on average pretty good).

I travelled South America for 10 months living via internet cafes and was never really at a loss.

I just uploaded photos from my camera and used Irfanview to make them smaller for uploading (only thing I had to check was that I could connect my camera and install Irfanview if there was no decent imaging software installed).

That's my 2c worth ;-)
