Hello fellow geeks

My work is getting a UFB connection installed shortly and we want to keep our current internet connection as well, so I am looking for a dual-WAN router with 3/4g USB modem support to replace the current single-WAN router. I currently have a 2degrees 21.7Mbps USB modem which I'd like to keep using.

Questions:

- Can anyone recommend a dual-WAN router with 3/4g USB modem support? Wireless would be nice, but not essential.

- Does anyone use the Cisco RV-320 router? Have they had any issues with it? Specifically any issues with the USB modem?

Thanks!

Draytek Vigor 2130.

Gigabit WAN. 4xGigabit LAN.
3G Failover - I have used a 2D 3g stick. Not sure if it is the '21.7 Mbps' model. Aliexpress is your friend for 3g sticks.
Based on OpenWRT.
Solid.

Don't think the RV series have VLAN tagging on the WAN port which is needed for most UFB setups.

Best bet is probably mikrotik or pfsense. Not sure if mikrotik does dual wan though?

Draytek 2130 is nice but not dual wan - you want a mikrotik

I have just put in a Netgear UTM25S at a business I look after

Ah sorry. Thought you would just want 3G backup not true dual-wan.

You would have to step up to the Draytek 2850. But yep, Mikrotik would do a great job for half the price.

I stand corrected. Looks like the RV315W will VLAN tag the WAN. RV320 is not clear if it can or can't.

315W has dual WAN + 3G

Are you "allowed" to have xDSL/copper as well as UFB?
I thought that this was discouraged with domestic connections - but "the rules of the game" may be different for business connections.

Depends on the installation - sometimes the copper is removed in order to instal fiber, sometimes it can stay.
