Hi everyone,
Currently i am trying to use the application Networx to monitor the usage of my flatmates (as when they're home all day, they tend to use 15gb in one day - normal usage for our flat is 1.5-2.5).

I have both a Telecom NZ Thomson TG589v2 DSL/VDSL modem and an ASUS Black Diamond NT-53 Router, my PC runs Windows 8 (64)
I am using an DC/Ethernet device to give connection to flatmates at back of apartment (as wifi is terrible at that part of the flat).

I have tried using the default Parental Controls in the gateway of the modem; but they aren't advanced enough.

What i was hoping to achieve is to log the packets and URL sites of the laptops connecting, so that if there was a Torrent Client used, i can find it, and lock it down through Port Blocking.
I also want to monitor the entire usage of the flat generally; always a good idea to see what devices are downloading how much, and why.

My previous flatmates downloaded a file from U-Torrent, and got pinged by my ISP (who i work for ironically) and i got a Copyright Infringement Notice! *sigh*

Does anyone know how to unlock/enable SNMP of either the modem or the router? I have googled alot, and just can't find the information :(

I've wanted traffic monitoring on routers with no SNMP before, and I achieved it by getting a SNMP enabled switch and monitoring the port that goes to the router. This obviously doesn't help if they are connecting to the wifi directly on the router.

Warning: reality may differ from above post
