This is surely the most basic question but I can't find via search or in the manual.

Simply trying to enter DNS servers so I can setup for UnblockUS.

I've looked all through the configuration of the modem but can't see how to actually change (add) DNS servers.

I am not too sure myself. Had a play with their firmware interface today on our VDSL modem.
If you go under internet connection hit details in the top right. Can you see anything there? There might be an advanced option next to that.

Thanks for that, no nothing about DNS came up, and in the overview DNS shows - but they're not changeable.

I look at that other link, but I'm viewing the modem settings on a mac and that doesn't make sense to me.. will try someone tomorrow

Is Putty just Terminal on Mac? Others or telling me about Telnet and other things that confuse me - can't believe the modem's settings don't make this easy. Also - given this modem is the standard Telecom VDSL one they give you I would have thought loads of people would have gone through this already!

ok for the benefit of anyone who comes looking for a result: Had some help from friends.

I have a Macbook Pro running 10.9.

-Open Terminal
-Shell>New Remote Connection
-Select Remote Login (telnet)
-Press + to add new server (this modem's IP is 192.168.1.254)
Connect - prompted for modem's username and password - I couldn't find this but logged in via browser and setup new user with admin rights, then used those here
-Then entered the DNS settings as follows:

{username}=>dns

{username}[dns]=>server

{username}[dns server]=>route

{username}[dns server route]=>flush

{username}[dns server route]=>add

dns = 111.118.175.56

[domain] =

[metric] = 1

I restated the modem and the correct DNS settings showed up, and now I'm loving Netflix.
